the story of alpha dj company. vol. 1

Our story began in 2000, when Owner, Dave Galloway (DJ Alpha), began a high school co-op at "Dr. Disc Records" in downtown London. In the basement of that record store was a hidden haven for DJs - stocked with 12″ vinyl records, turntables, mixers and the experience a budding DJ could only dream of. Using any excuse he could to spend time down there, he began to learn how to mix on a pair of Technics 1200s, and bought a pair that he still has today. It wasn't long before a venue gave him his shot - In 2002 GT’s London invited him to play on Thursday nights, and he instantly fell wildly in love with DJing live in front of a crowd. From that day forward, DJ Alpha played every Thursday and eventually Saturday night, including live to air on 106.9 FM for 5 years. 

When GT’s closed in 2008, it was time to branch out and try new things, and that included bringing club style mixing to weddings and parties. The solo operation of one DJ began bringing in new DJs, either training them from scratch or bringing in respected talent from within the city Now, instead of mixing hip-hop all night, it’s a mix of Top 40, across all decades and genres, to provide a smooth flow of great dance music all night long. 

Since forming The Alpha DJ Company, we have experienced opportunities and growth that we never dreamt possible. We've quickly become London, Ontario's most popular DJ Company, known for our passion, our talent, and our ability to keep our guests dancing. 

Is World domination too optimistic? Maybe, but nothing is impossible, right? For now, our goal is to become the leading DJ + Entertainment company in Ontario. By offering bespoke services and a tailed experience to our clients, we intend on revolutionizing the industry and providing a renewed sense of appreciation for live music. 

Our goal is simple: to create a once-in-lifetime party for our clients and their guests, each and every time. We want to be known for bringing the vibe, the professionalism and talent to every event we are part of - making it an experience to remember
